Never saw this :(

I arrived at 0.85 and the rally would stay forever but you couldn't request from them. I remember that I didn't know how to destroy them back then (knife them :neutral :) so most of the time I camped the rally untill the squad moves it lololo

If i say, after i finnish my current map, Umm Qasr, ill try to get approval to rework EJOD, will you stop making threads about bringing this map back? In case you dont know, theres a heck of lot of work to make a map for 0.97.
Anyway, if none of you is ready for the job, EJOD will be my next project.

To be fair Burning Sands is a bit similar to Ejod of you look at its layout.

I do not agree with this. In Burning Sands capture zones are selected randomly when map starts (gallery). Ejod had 3 flags and there was the only battle direction. For me it is similar to Asad Khal (another one good map where controlling the flags in the middle of the map grants your team a victory).

Oh yes, from back in the days where we could build bunkers near flags, oh the epic moments we had defending those bunkers in the gardens :D .

Or when the build system was strange and allowed to have MHGs on top of buildings haha

On a side note that includes Ejod: I personally (and I guess many more) would love to have more 2x2 maps with only a few heavy vehicles as support instead of the larger huge-scale maps. Vadso City and Operation Marlin are fine examples.

well making the city a littl e bigger with more enterable building and maybe a few more flags will make awesome CQB fights imo

Bunkers on OGT is where it was at, they were frickin awesome.

I'd not agree either (not insulted, just disagree) BS was a bit of an attempted mish-mash of EJOD, Kufrah and a bit o kashan thrown in. (Which is why if I did it again, I would do it very differently, because a 'jack of all trades' and master of none is how I would describe BS)

Disagreeing with the actual mapper might be a stupid idea, but as I see it, Burning Sands really is a lot like Ejod in general layout, minus the hills and that it's a 4km map which I suppose was inevitable if tanks where to be on it. As in, there's a fairly compact area in the center where infantry can duke it out with lots of space for maneuver around it for vehicles, which I really like.
Kufrah might have shared similarities before AAS v4 when flags would be scattered all over but now that most flag layouts are linear, the only similarity left is that it's in a desert which IMO isn't that important.

Also, the bunkers on Hills of Hamyong were cool but it's a little sad how the end flag for the Chinese didn't come into play that often. AFAIK that was one of the first, if not the first large indoor complex in PR. Kind of like the Muttrah fortress.
This signature is here due to lack of imagination.

Hamyong probably was the worst map in PR. It was basicly Omaha Beach without the sea.
