I was hoping not to post on this thread, but after reading 16 pages, i feel obliged.

Throughout my time playing Project reality, I have never seen so much feedback directed at one server. On the same note, i have never seen so much feedback intentionally ignored by the receiving end. The attitudes of the Hardcore members that have posted on this thread is appalling, especially considering the majority of your members are ex or currently serving members of a armed force.

Personally if the Hardcore server was to go down, I would not celebrate, nor would I miss the server because it just means it's one less thing that attracts a whirlpool of hate and flaming from even our most common members on these forums.

Your admin that asked for $5 so someone could be unbanned, has caused such a conflict in this community and has released the wave of hate from these forums that has been building for so long. As for the other Hardcore members that have posted here in a attempt to deflect this torrent of accusations and hate, you are making posts that aren't well thought through and thus, continue to give Hardcore a reputation of ignorance.

Just something to consider.

Man, really? Here I thought shooting people - or trying, through insane amounts of deviation - was the best solution to every conflict.

and you really picked the right man for the job, whattheh3ll is one of your best admins and i am really happy to see him leading this reconstruction.

@ saxoni, i dont mean to flame you, but you must understand that pr is still a game. sometimes i love to get everyone on mumble, call out all of my grids with the nato phonetic alphabet and treat it as a simulator. but other times i just want to hop on with a few friends and play a very harsh, unforgiving and realistic war game. on H the style of gameplay, esp on ins you see some dirty tactics, c4 through walls etc etc. to me there is no greater satisfaction than killing the unk hunters, and dragging the CE kit back to main for c4 bikes. or flanking the dreaded first flag roll, and crippling it, although i am often unsuccessful and that is simply my opinion. on many servers you and others laud the teamwork and sportsmanship, but the gameplay on H offers a unique challenge to PR, and honestly is half the reason i am still challenged by this game.

now i really want to see mumble use more on this server, and i believe prior to this incident about 50% of the players used mumble now that (awesome) 1.0 is out.

time to get out of the thread, i hope this whole thing gets sorted or many north Americans are going to be searching for a new, low ping home.

It's not flaming at all. It's criticism, and I, like anyone else should, take it, read it and reply.

I am perfectly aware of that PR is a game, and that people have different opinions on how to play the game. This is how humans are. We all have different opinions, and we should all respect that. However, when people decide to totally ignore others opinion instead of discussing it, it pissed me off.

Hardcore does offer a totally different way of playing PR, and that is probably why there are so many people that don't like it. When people doesn't like a server, the feedback they give often end up in offensive claims, flaming and so on, instead of what it actually should be; conservative feedback. I don't blame them one bit. I can admit that I've been one of them, as Hardcore's style of play is the style of play I hate the most.

Now that Hardcore has a new PR Clan Leader that according to some should be a nice guy we might hope the server will change. I'm not expecting it at all, as the members will be the same and thus their policy and behavior will stay.

The only thing I'm asking for is that Hardcore starts listening to what the community has to say instead of ignoring it and keeping the same style of play that they've always had. If they start doing this, miracles will happen - trust me.

Hmmm thought so.

Id like to suggest to the mods that they now that most of flaming has stopped reopen hardcore feedback thread to let the community make suggestions about the improvements in the clan and server.

Peace

Well, after reading massive walls of text for about 2 days now, I think I now can give my 2 cents on the current happenings.

First, like velocity said, this thread released all the -H- hate and feedback in a way I never thought possible. Walls of text.

Kind of interesting that the [R-MOD]'s didnt take much action in this thread, they let the PR community clear their minds, they let us say everthing, and now that everything is out, out matuity level has risen, in a way.

Good that Hardcore is actually is doing something about this, by listening to saxoni's comment and completly revamping the admin team, wich I think its going to pay off soon.

When the new admin team is chosen and when everything is back like it used to be, I will join the -H- server and I am going to see if anything is changed, you have my word.

Good move by -H- i'l give you that.

on a gameplay note:

Instead of changing how players play insurgency maybe we should look at how insurgency game mode plays. If insurgent players complain blufor searches for and destroys unknowns before destroying the known cache then the game mode should be changed to prevent or hinder such tactics.

Maybe having one cache at a time is the best way or making the unknown indestructible until it is known.

Insurgency being broken is a well known problem, and there are a lot of suggestions out there. Let's hope the DEV's will fix it.

My dear fellow Hardcore members.

Ever heard of the phrase: "Give a man enough rope he will hang himself"?

Stay out of this. Let the boss man handle it.

Peace out.

I actually meant to include this in my previous post, but forgot. In the spirit Jafar suggested H JakCurse is a cool kid I once had the pleasure of working with during the WC; nice guy :) (I think I also played a round with WhattheHell once upon a time and was impressed with his SLing abilities.)

And as other people have said, Insurgency being broken is obviously not the fault of H, and looking for unknowns is a perfectly legitimate (if kind of boring) tactic as the game mode currently stands.

I will update everyone with details on the restructuring, and any changes pending. Until then, please stay on topic, and polite with one another.
