BF2 profile registration.

Post by GABBA »

I havn't really thought about this that much untill now. How and when do we have to register to get our profile, will there be secret website that you get once you buy the game or what..... imagen millions of poeple trying to register at the same time. there would be mase religious hysteria ,WORLD ORDER WOULD CRUMBLE..........well not really. but do you see the problem here........they must have some good plan.

It will probably work some what along the lines of this... you get your copy of BF2, you install it on your comp and when you go to play on an official server in multiplayer it will retrieve the info from your installed CD key (therefore there can be no duplicate accounts) which also will mean that if you some how manage to copy the game and burn it for a buddy he/she won't be able to access the official servers because that key is already in use by you... And if EA was smart, they have a solid state list of all the CD keys created for the many, many copies being created so that they know which accounts are active and which accounts aren't (because they obviously need to know how far along you've progressed in the game), this would also mean that getting a keygen would be useless. Besides... pirating and keygening is naughty.

They (EA/Dice) have said time and again, that to play online (including the official servers to rank up) it will be FREE. I mean come on its EA/Dice, its not like they can't take the financial hit to their wallets with all that network traffic to their servers .
