Enjoy the new monitor
4 ways to fix this:
1.
Go to Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles , each profile you have has a separate folder, 0001, 0002, etc.
Open global.con and see which is your default profile and make note.
Mine:
Open the appropriate folder.
Open Video.con
go to line #9
Mine:
to look it up, right click desktop, Select Screen resolution, Click Advanced settings.
Click the Monitor tab, and then look under Screen refresh rate,
2.
Create a shortcut for PR on your desktop. Either make a copy of your current one, or find the pr.exe file and right click->send to desktop.
Right click the new shortcut icon... add this string to the end after the pr.exe"
3. Third way is to delete the Profiles folder, but don't do that if you don't know or can't retrieve your BF2 log-in password.
4. Fourth way is to create a batch file on desktop...

Mine is:+restart +szx 1920 +szy 1080
note where the quotation marks are located, they must be there."C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"+restart +szx 1920 +szy 1080

4. Fourth way is to create a batch file on desktop...
save the batch file and use the batch file to run PR.@echo off
start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" +restart +szx 1920 +szy 1080
exit

He ("Oralis"?) explains it perfectly, the 1st way it already MUST work, since it'll be the wrong set refresh-rate (61Hz is too high)...

So what you are saying is that you cant start either PR nor vBF2. Was it working fine with old monitor? Have you changed anything else in your system from last time you ran PR?

Now i get it to work, playing with the refresh rates a bit, and i had to set the global profile to 60Hz too. Thanks!
Wow nice gampley experience with 24""
Any way to adjust the FOV in some settings?

FOV can be only set in Video Options. Set it to 100% and you're good. It depends on a map you're playing and its setting and it cant be changed.Garack wrote:Now i get it to work, playing with the refresh rates a bit, and i had to set the global profile to 60Hz too. Thanks!

If this is solved I will be locking it, so please report back.

I assume he's talking about the Field of View (FOV) not the visual range.
You get a bit of a distorted view on 1920x1080, you cant change that.
