Mic is having issues? Help?

Post by the_epic_pooh »

I am getting angry and almost physical aggression with this mic...

It's not a headset. IT's just a stand up mic. It's annoying and I think it was a complete waste of $12 for nothing.

It's logitech, there was no model # cause I threw the box out when I got it! :(

Do you recommend Logitech as a headset OR a mic????

There is NO way that I am going to be spending $100 on a headset JUST for PR. There is no way.

I can buy a Logitech one at Radio Shack for like $20 or $50... It' s a HEADSET.

Question is, will it hear me clear?
Does anyone recommend another brand or just Logitech?

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I bought a headset for 10 bucks. you can get cheap ones for both plugin and USB. But have you checked it is nothing wrong with your sound software or similar?

I use Plantronics Gamecom headset which cost 16 GBP, roughly 20 USD. No problems with them although they do get a little sweaty after a couple of hours.

What kind of headset you recommend?

Plug In or USB?

Wireless or Wired?

But Nothing is wrong w/ my sound software. It's in game issues. I use this for some voice chat's with friends and they say it's clear as day light, but peeople in game say it's horrible.

I have a headset much like that, You can also just rest the headset on your shoulder and use the mic if you have good speakers.

Plugin all the way, USBs tend to have way too many issues with software and hardware.

USE PLUG-IN

When you use USB most of the time you got to plug the headset before launching any application, otherwise you won't hear unless you exit the application and get back in.

Definitely nothing wrong with USB, I have a Logitech G35 (which is USB) and it has virtual 7.1 surround sound, it sounds amazing! Much better than my previous headset that was plug-in, and I do have a 5.1 sound card.

I own a Razer Megalodon, which was pretty expensive and I don't recommend it to anyone. The sound is good, but the mic has a lot of static for that amount of money. So expensive isn't always the best.

Anyway before this one I used a ?30,- Logitech Headset, but the wires on that one broke after 2 years. Think I bought that one 3 times though but I think they stopped making/selling them but this looks similar:
