Who else agrees with this?

Post by the_epic_pooh »

Project Reality is and always will be the best mod of all time.

Why? Here are my reason's! :)

1.Dev's are very nice.
2.Dev's took their time and didn't port much.
3.Best Community.
4.Smart People (players)
5.Best running. (Amount of players online!)
6.Just good.
7.Very enjoyable.
8.Never really get's old
9.Best Teamwork game you can have.
10.Keep's everyone social w/ all the mic talker's! :)
Please post your opinion.... (don't hate! ;])

I also enjoy PR I guess...that's why I am on the forums.

I imagine people who don't like the game don't stick around for too long.

Out of curiosity, when is the last time someone seriously suggested fast ropes?

I saw a thread a few weeks ago :? . Anyway PR is certainly good but I've lost interest in it, so no, I don't agree with you. Mainly the path the community is heading ruined it for me.

Funny thing, I was about to make a post about how lot of guys I'd regularly play with back in 2009 and 2010 on RT, PMC, A-Pr and the first year of PRTA seem to have moved on even though they were awesome at the game and complain about how it feels like team cohesion has generally gone down, when it occurred to me, when is the last time you saw a logistics squad? You know, the one that always made good FOBs, the backbone of the team. I mean, they were a regular sighting back in the above mentioned time period. But I honestly can't remember seeing one in the last couple of months, at least.

Seems like they got fed up with everyone growing used to having convenient FOBs and expecting the logi squads to keep doing it while they get to do all the shooting.

To any logistics squad leader reading this, I am sorry for expecting you to keep doing the dull jobs, and I will take it upon myself to build FOBs for the team the next round I play.

Probably because you've been playing it for a long time, and the community has changed. I'd like to get the 0.8-feeling back :(

PR is the best mod, as it's not a game. Battlefield 2 is the best game of all time.

This is probably true, but...

I've been playing a long time, and to a point can agree that teamplay has changed - when i notice players whose teamplay improving after time I'm happy.

A great example i've noticed recently on PRTA is the K clan, Rincewind, tier and co. When I first noticed them they were silently playing on their own but recently I've seen them playing really well, communicating, teamworking reviving other squads and even last night moaning about teamwork like an old player!

I guess what i'm saying is we have to set the example of what PR is about and players will adapt.

This is the only game I play. Didn't really play anything before it either....well bf2 ofc hehe.

I will however disagree with some posters here. I think overall teamwork has improved over time, and it keeps getting better. Lets face it, back in v0.5 the 200 playergames would have been much more of a chaos.
I say time has weeded out the "Headshot, 150 points!" crowd. I am thankfull of that.

And the maps keep getting better and better =)

I can't stop thinking of my first months of PR, where I could see nothing but teamwork. This might have been because I came from Battlefield 2, which wasn't very teamwork-orientated, but I'm still confident that PR had better teamwork and a better community back then.

I was going to debate the illusory "good old times", but then something popped to my mind that I've been wanting to ask for a long time.

How many in the DEV team still play PR?

If it's a low number, then at some point you might have to change your work ethic slogan of "we build the game that we want to play" to "we build the game that we want others to play".
