[Solved] PR desktop crash

Post by ZonexNL »

Hello!

Eversince I have updated my video card drivers with an update from 3 months ago (which I used to delay everytime I was prompted by it) I can't play PR for longer than 30 seconds. Every time I connect to a server, it seems like it's running perfect, no fps/processor lag, and after 30 seconds to one minute it suddenly minimizes to my desktop without any error message whatsoever and the game itself crashes.

I've tried clearing my Battlefield 2 map in my documents and rebooted Battlefield 2, then booted PR, but didn't work.

All my video settings are on low by the way, my video card can't handle PR settings on highest.

Anyone know why this is happening?

We need more info from you to help you out.
What video card?
What were your prior drivers? (the revision number)
What are your current drivers? (the revision number)

Some stuff you can check yourself..
Did you completely uninstall your prior drivers correctly?
Have you tried to uninstall your current drivers completely and reinstall older more stable drivers?

What I did was turning all settings to low and turning render distance to the max and anti aliasing to 2x. it doesn't give you top notch graphics but it does prevent random desktop crashes, I don't know why. :P
