Fast Rope

General discussion of the Project Reality: BF2 modification.

If the mod is aiming for the highest possible reality i think fast roping would have to be in there. the pilots would just have to be smart about where to drop their troops so they dont get themselves (and everyone they're carrying) wasted by an AA battery

building cover, defilated and dead zones are key.

it would defiantly make urban fighting interesting...

I think something like one SA 7 pickup per team would be in a fairly realistic order...

So, watch out for that one guy if you can, there is always the element of him being a good player, but with the vast scope of BF maps, im thinking the pilot won't always be tottaly destroyed by a grail when he tries to land/insert/whatever. If he is, rebalance the map, give more helicopters (more targets), less or harder to find sa 7 kit, or change the sa7 around so it's harder to get a lock on with.

I seriously think that the flare thing will give a heli a major advantage it never had though, but is that realistically used by transport choppers?

Heli rotors have no collision damage effects in BF2, but they sure will in PR! :twisted:
