so my friend go this error log
I am trying to figure it out any ideas?

rushn, is this a Steam version of BF2?
Other people got a similar error log this month since the steam mini update.. check this:

is "c15ryan.torno" his account name on the PC?
Something is wrong with a registry entry, you might as well backup the D2D BF2.exe and attempt to do the retail .exe hotfix to see if it fixes it.
Might be easier to simply uninstall and reinstall if he has the D2D install files still on hand.
another option:
Try to trick the Program and manually create the directories tree:
c:\users\c15ryan.torno\desktop\emu\localization
keep that directory open and run the program, see wtf is written to the file to get a idea of what's going wrong.
