Hello all
I received an error mesage mid-game while on CIA's server on Karbala then I CTD'd.
The message said:
BF2 Memory Error
memory.dll: sanity check: block size 22397232 (21.36 MB) doesn't seem sane
Can anyone tell me what this is? This is the first time i've heard "sane" used with any error. I can understand a memory leak or whatever, but I don't remember ever seeing the word "sane" with it.
I have no hardware issues or anything and can play PR just fine usually. This is the first time it's happened since I downloaded the latest patch actually.
Thanks for any help

how much RAM do you have?
How big is your pagefile?
Is your HDD almost full?
the sane error msg is usally due to running out of RAM.

re: [Solved] Very odd error message (memory.dll: sanity check)
Hi
I have 4 GB, but 3.25 because of Windows XP 32. 2046 Initial paging file size, 4092 maximum.
My HD had plenty of space, and everything else is well within PR's hardware requirements. I can play arma 2, Red Orchestra 2 etc without errors, but this is the first time i've gotten an error such as this with PR.
PR runs just fine otherwise, and I don't even mind if it's just a rare occurrence. I was just curious what it was because it's the first time i've ever seen "sanity" used with an error message.
Thanks for the help, I wonder why they used the word "sane"
