Title pretty much explains itself. When i close PR the BGM from the menu continues to play on my computer continuously. I eventually found out that bf2.exe was still running when checking the task manager. has anybody run into the same problem and have found a fix?
it's just a little bit annoying to have to shut it off via the task manager every time i stop playing PR.

Re: bf2.exe does not close
I had this happen to me before but it seemed completely random and I couldn't reproduce the problem consistently.
What OS are you using, is it 32 or 64 bit?

Re: bf2.exe does not close
I have three guesses here.
1. Your bf2.exe is not set to run as administrator by default. find your bf2.exe location, right click, go to compatibility tab and click the run as admin tick box.
2. Do you have a very large pagefile? Programs can hang while the windows OS clears the pagefile on process termination.
3. You might try backing up your bf2.exe, then download the retail version of bf2.exe, just to test it.

'[R-DEV wrote:AncientMan;1710907']The problem seems to be that bf2.exe isn't detecting mods properly, at least not in the way it should be. Not entirely sure the cause of this issue yet, and why it only just started happening, but the simple fix is to replace your steam bf2.exe with the retail bf2.exe. A proper fix will come in the next version of PR, but that is a fair while off yet, so use this fix in the meantime.
- Download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33586919/bf2_retail_exe.zip
- Browse to: <install directory>\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2
(<install directory> being whereever you installed Steam to, could be C:\Program Files for example)- Copy and paste "bf2.exe" to back it up, and extract the bf2.exe out of the newly downloaded .zip file and overwrite bf2.exe in the steam directory.

Re: bf2.exe does not close
not sure what you mean by page file, but it doesnt just linger for a while, if it doesn't close properly it doesnt close at all unless i turn off the computer or end the process myself.
i have the actual install disks for BF2. problem is this happens with vBF2 as well. sometimes the menu theme continues to play, sometimes it doesn't, so i don't always know it's happened untill the next time i try to play.
