PR:BF2 server license problem

Post by h0us3cat »

I am trying to setup a pr2 server.
I need a license key first, so i am running a vanilla bf2 server i filled out the request.
And they cant check my server, it reports my server is offline. So they said me try to add it on gametracker and there it also says its offline...
But my server is running fine...

HEy H0us3cat,
first I wanna welcome you to the world of Project Reality, enjoy your visit here.

Your issues might have several reasons.
I assume your server is running on a dedicated box (or vserver)?
Did you set sv.internet 0 to 1?
Have you tried joining your bf2 server with your PC?

If you want you can add me on Xfire (bloodydeed) and we can solve your issues more easily.

Also there is no PR2 yet, think its BF2: Project Reality 0.97 youre talking about.

Can you find your server using this website?
Just make sure when adding your server to gametracker that all ports are correct.

I can :-(

edit: alright i just found out that its using my main server ip and not 178.33.34.76, however if i connect by ip it works.
If i use my main ip on gametracker etc it finds my server but i dont want to use this ip for the bf2 server.

Have you tried binding your server adress with:
sv.serverIP "178.33.34.76"

Hehe I just tried it myself on my own server and realized you need to change that too.
Glad you solved your problem.

As soon as your server license is activated I recommend you to read all the stickies in the private server admin area of this forum.
It contains useful stuff you need to know plus some tutorials how to setup your server correctly.

Cheers Bloody
