why is your harddrive only 500GB ? I would really go for 1TB 1TB is aout the same

I forgot to update the HDD. I did switch from a 500GB to 1TB.

I know SSDs are expensive, but I have the money for them so I'm not worried about the price. As is the same with the case.

And I've heard and heard that 1000w is a bit overkill, but in the future when I upgrade I know that it'll be one thing I don't have to worry about.

@darkside mate, go for 7950 or 7970, apparently they overclock like theres no tomorrow and its powerdraw is quite reasonable too.

High quality 850W ( 70 Amp +) should be enough for you, check seasonic, corsair, enermax etc...

As of sound card, I say creative meh but asus xonar line looks promising.Is it headset you're looking to use with that sound card or we looking at AV reciever too?

Your build looks alright mate, there always be different recommendations and flavors

so I say go with 850 more then enough and plenty of room to upgrade

oops sorry my bad, ddint go trough the whole thread and thoght the purpose of the thread is to get some advice.

So if its mouse you're after i guess that's again down to your preferences.Some like mouse with many additional buttons for work some prefer few extra buttons but good ergonomy etc..

Monitor - IPS / WLED from recognisable comp[any should do. 24'' is nice.

Well, I've already got a monitor, mouse and keyboard selected. It's just not that important to post them here. Like you said, those are preferences.

Yes, I know that's a lot of buttons on the mouse. But for those of us that don't have TrackIR, they come useful if you program them to copy your keypad for games like ArmA.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm going to. I don't think I'll have much of a need to overclock them right now, but in the future I'm sure I'll have to. I'd rather put the liquid cooling in now then have to hassle with it later.

It is a lot of buttons, but it only takes a couple of hours to get used to them. It comes programmed with the number pad and you can switch it between it and the numbers across the top of the keyboard. So basically for me, it PR:BF2 mode and PR:A2 mode. I had one before, but it got stolen along with my ASUS laptop in Libson, Portugal.

well I wold recomend going with 7 series GPU it will be much more futureproof and that PSU I listed for 1000W if you are going with 1000W

Interesting article. A little in the dark on it though. I'm not too knowledgeable on computers.

Looked a bit on NewEgg and read some reviews. Other than driver issues, this AMD 7950 seems pretty solid. Also seems like the fans are extremely loud at operating speed from what everyone's said on the reviews on the 7950s and 7970s.

Agree,have same cooling system on my 6950.Idle fan speed ~20%.not so much loud.
After 40% - going loud,but also temperature not much that 70 degree.

Yeah, but not sure what's a good one to get. I have the Corsair H100 for the CPU.

well most of them are about the same try looking at reviews and see which one outputs the least noise

noise should not be your biggest concern since those graphics card can churn out a lot of power

Alright, so everything except the CPUs and GPU have came in, which I'm expecting them to arrive today. So far I've gotten the PSU mounted, the RAM in the mobo, disk drives and data drive installed. I've kind of hit a slump until the CPUs arrive.
