JSDF is awesome!
But, I have no experience on coding or modeling(except real model) and I don't have enough time neither.
:(
What I can do is offering some pictures I find or took, what's more, moral support.

I started to read the official 3ds max introduction/Modelling tutorial and the PR forum ones, It does not look that complicated in fact, so I'm really motivated to re-start the faction but I'll need competent guys who can do the experience-needed stuff as the UV's, BF2 editor codding, exporting etc... :-)

And It will be VERY, VERY cool If a dev could guide me through the installation of 3ds max to the exporting of a model :-o

Word of advice. If you really really want to restart it then you should get in touch with the old team and salvage what can be salvaged.

Heres the thread:

https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f388-pr-bf2-community-modding/22593-faction-proposal-jgsdf-forces.html

Obviously it has a shitton of pages and I doubt anything concrete came out in the first 20 pages. Contact 162eri as he seemed to be organizing the comfac

Holly ****... Indeed 75 pages....

I sent a PM to 162eri, I really hope he will answer.

And, wow, they actually worked a lot on this faction! It seems that they stopped because of a general lack of motivation since the Dev's decision to stop the development of BLUFOR factions (I don't really know if they still prohibit it...).

Here's their WIP report:

I also sent PM's to Dev's and I updated the faction thread, hope it will attract people's attention enough...

Problem: The Dev in charge of the factions is not very enthusiastic about creating a new faction, he prefers that we finish the other WIP factions. And another dev told me that starting a new faction without moding experience would not be a good idea, so I'll try to work for already started factions before creating my own. :?

What's with the :? emoticon? It's hard work to create stuff, let alone an entire faction. If you have no modding skills whatsoever and no team around you that does, don't start. Instead, prioritize and try to learn to do small modding things first. From there, you can grow to larger projects.

What's the :? ??: emoticon? It's just a way to show that I realised that the project will be very hard to get under way, and I perfectly understand your opinion, don't look for deeper meanings.

And I answered to your PM by the way :)
