Tried what was suggested by replacing bf2.exe with the retail version, still no servers showed up and also when i try to create a local server the game crashes, help please?

A couple weeks ago i was playing pr and then a virus came across my computer(not related to pr at all) and from then on out i have not been able to find any servers at all on co-op and online. it doesn't give me an error message and i cant figure it out. I have re-downloaded it and added all software updates and it is still not working. Some one please help. I would be very grateful.

This thread should have been posted inside the PR:BF2 Support forum.
You may would have realized that there is already a sticky called "NO SERVERS".
Take a look if this solves your issue.

I don't get what's wrong.

I have PR installed.. updated to .973

I have BF2 installed through steam.

I cannot find any game servers... it's totally empty and nothing comes up. I reinstalled and everything. Please help I need my fix!

Well going seem like a stupid question, but did you click on "update list" every time you join the internet?

Ok here's another question did you install the updates for bf2 on steam. Keep in mind I don't have steam, so I don't know if the update is automatic. Start bf2, check and see if the servers are listed in that game.

It's automatic. My version of BF2 is 1.53

Oh and one more tiny thing, you did actually install the full PR:BF2 v0.97 patch and not just the PR:BF2 v0.97 Map Pack right?

Yeah, I did the 3 part FULL pack and give me a sec ill check the servers for BF2

If this is an ongoing problem it sucks but I mean.. I dunno... I really wanted to play but was thinking of picking up ARMA2 anyhow soon to play PR ARMA.

I guess my only remaining advise is to restart you computer and open PR. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling everything. If that doesn't work, try clearing out your temporary cache files in your internet browser, that what I did when I had a problem with installing PR a long time ago. Sorry I can't help. Hopefully someone can.

Use the tech support forums next time and search. There's a post about that problem already it's a steam thing.
