do you know a working training map for the actual bf2pr version?
i mean something like a shooting range etc.. i only found a scrapped training map..
I've always found coop to be pretty useless for training purposes. Near omniscient AI and limited asset options would make a dedicated training map or mode very appealing to me.Rudd wrote:I find PRSP to be good training tbhmoving targets!
My whole point was the ranges/engagement areas would be all around the map. Thus allowing you to role play if you really wanted to or set up scenarios that could happen in real time or just get someone who's learning to fly to transport you there.LyRiCs wrote:i like your idea of a training server..
it could be 2 teams: veterans and newbies
or 2 teams:
unexpierienced players
experienced players
and some reserved slots for training officers with a specialised kit or something.. i think without coding nothing of this will work perfect, but a little bit of roleplay would be nice.. i would really love it.
the newbies are on the server to get picked up by a veteran and to get trained by him. some sort of a parcour with shooting targets to learn the basics of running/aiming/deviation..
200m right to this area could be a marksmenship range
the next one could be a CQB area with targets popping up
on the other side of the map you could have vehicle trainings.. or you can create 2 type of maps: ground training and air-training (2server?)
if i could create maps.. goddammit.. im creative but i dont have any clue of mapping..
*sadface* i would love some roleplay for a training server. i think it would increase the game expierience on the normal server too and ofcourse, the roleplaylevel, if the guys are using the training server to get fimilar with this..
Don't have time or the experience. It was an idea if anyone thought they could take it on.Doc.Pock wrote:May i suggest you to look in the community modding section. It has many usefull tutorials so look
My whole point though is something that covers every mission over the range of combined arms. Not so much for playing a regular game but for training everyone and allowing combined arms training all within the same area. Infantry may need to practice amphibious assaults, air assault, etc. Thus combining everything.Doc.Pock wrote:There is a great air an armor map by the rhino
I think we should start calling him this now.Doc.Pock wrote:the rhino
