I must agree with Brainlaag.

Cool story brah. ;-)

Anyways, why all this talk about things dying?

Just play the game like you usually do.
BloodyDeed;1725085']I wouldnt say its dying, at least not anytime soon.
There has been a drop in population but this happens everytime between releases.
I'm sure we will see a lot of people come back with 1.0.
I agree. I've played since 0.85 and it seems true with every release. The server's are flooded when a new release comes out and it seems people quit playing when they figure out something they don't like with the new release. Then the next comes out and they try it out and like it. Then a new group of people find something they hate and quite till the next release. It's a never ending viscous cycle. I sucked it up and kept going since there was no other game like this until PRAA. And I still haven't played it since I get on and none of the servers seem to have anyone on. Anyone know which server's stay populated and a time frame that's good to get on and play?

I concur. I hate pigeons and seagulls. I shoot the little ******** for fun. Except I like to kick pigeons. Great, now everyone's going to think I sit in my house and torture animals.

They put a tracker on a seagull that had a nest of younglings once. It made a 300 km round trip in one day, visiting Amsterdam, eating fries and what have you after that it went to sea following a fishing ship, before returning to its nest in the evening.

Just so you know after spending a day with your hands down your pants behind the PC.

COMMANDER BUYS VEHICLES FOR TICKETS.

There is nothing on the market like that right now and it would make PR nothing short of immortal in the video-game world.

PS - I am not going to stop lobbying for this, ever :)

That can be arranged if people continue to stay o/t 8-)

Is PR dying? No. I think all the kids who like shiny new things have left. Good riddance. Most of them couldn't teamwork themselves out of a wet paper bag, so whilst numbers might be down, teamwork is up.

What this means is that large combined maps such as Black Gold and Kashan probably aren't in server rotations with a preference for smaller maps.

Having said that personally I think numbers are starting to pick up again as people get frustrated with the general lack of teamwork with BF3 - those are the people we all need to encourage to hang around.

TL;DR - if you define dead because numbers are down, then yes. If you enjoy the better gaming experience due to only playing with (generalisation) people who play PR because they love the game, then no.

I remember the time I said exactly the same words as the name of the topic. That was about 2-3 years ago when we took a slump to the player base/servers. Still here isn't it?

I Figure that after Mass Effect 3, a slight drop, then, a gradual rise, then after (yet again) another CoD is released, a higher rise. /end positive thought

For me a perfect example of a dead mod would be FH2, or AIX, or just about every other BF2 mod, any mod that cant hold more than 40 ppl over a 24 hour period is dead to me.

PR is no where near that.

I rarely get on to honestly see no one playing PR anymore. Back when I said it i'd go a few days without seeing anyone playing a full server.

I've had some great rounds lately, new large maps really are great for good tactics to be put into play. Havnt been able to play with regulars on the usual servers during peak hours, but the off peak times have been great and met a lot of players loving the game and doing great teamwork!
