Right, because it's much easier to dish out 50 bucks every 6 months when new games get released than 5 bucks for one old game?

You're forgetting that not everybody in the world has a mum that'll buy them a new computer every Christmas to run the latest CoD on ultra high settings, I'm pretty sure an older game with awesome mods that's still being played is a blessing to "third world" players who just caught up.

A few months before I started playing PR in 2007 on my new PC, I had a computer than couldn't run anything newer than Delta Force Black Hawk Down on low settings and that was the year when widescreen monitors started coming out and you could find screenshots on this forum of people playing PR with 16:9 res maxed out, and there I was thinking the heaven opened because Delta Force and C&C Generals no longer lagged like hell.

Drop in players (if it occurs) its just simple and plain "evolution". Weaklings are left to die, only the strong ones go through. We are straming for 100% mumble & common sense teamwork stage! :D

Also, more and more players are joining, it is just a matter of training them.

Common sense teamwork died about 4 years ago in the PR community.

Common sense teamwork is at-worst latent in the PR community, not dead. It shows up when everyone has it in force.

My PR journey started 2 years ago...

Back then when vBF2 was da shit, I saw a message on the menu saying "Download PR 0.6 NAO", but I was like "nah".

Then I saw videos of the AIX mod, I was impressed, so many content. I downloaded it, had alot of fun on SP, but I wanted MP, but it was pretty much dead. I wanted a BF2 mod that had a multiplayer active community.

Then, on youtube I found this video:

I was like "damn son, I HAVE to check dat out"

I did.

I downloaded the giant 3 part files and thought: "This has to be worth it"

Can't stop playing the mod since.

A message to the people that are deciding to check this mod out :P

Thank god you're one of the ones that stuck around and actually slowed down and weren't herp-derping. :) Kudos!

Bro I had a PC from 2001, a VIAO with an ATI 9600 (this to be exact http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/ima ... -rx624.jpg) that lagged in every map in PR including Kashan (70% of the maps were unplayable), I played PR on that for about 3-4 years, when I finally got a new PC in 2010 I could not be happier.

Eh eh eh,

Project Reality, I luvz you!!!! <3

I mean, I stopped playing bit b4 0.96, when 0.96 downgrade came out I raged, then BF3 came out and I was like hurp durp i'll neva touch that walking-waiting-derp simulator again..

I realized it only now (late I know), PR has so much re-playability not because of the awesome content (which BF3 has too imo), but because of the community; the teamwork and comm's that are so standard add more immersion than CGI-like graphics and make the 100th firefight over muttrah's triangle feel different everytime.

God I missed the voip/mumble chatter so much, BF3 is just a spectacular "mute shooter".

Hence why I quit BF3 after 2 weeks from release. IF it had ingame voip. That's literally all it needs. It *COULD* stomp on PR in the future.

I got into PR just before 0.7 when I kept hearing people telling me to get it everyday for months/years. Tried it in 0.1 wasn't impressed, came back after hearing amazing stories and enjoyed shotgunning face and being rambo with a medkit rushing insurgents on basrah.

Teamwork is when your medic turns into rambo and saves a whole squad that won't move across a road to a target building 100M away and kills the entire 2 squads that keep going there thus causing your squad to move up.

<3 old PR.
