Xbox 360 controller on PR/BF2
Is it possible to use my wired Xbox 360 controller for PR in any way? (Ex. Flying aircraft, infantry, etc.)

Maybe, but then why would you? You are obviously limiting your ability to play PR when you use console controllers, one being the accuracy of aiming with a mouse.

I have done it, I don't have the links right now, but basically what you have to do is download a Gamepad mapping software, map the buttons to the keys, and they with a bit of tinkering, it works.
But, I switched back immediately because it was terrible. The ability of the mouse to control look speeds and etc is invaluable on the Battlefield.

I used to do this for flying jets, before I got a stick.
There are various official microsoft drivers that you can install if simply plugging it in doesnt work

I've looked around and seen people having problems with looking around while infantry using the controller. Is this still a problem for people?

I don't remember, but aren't there problems with the controller's native ability to look at different speeds? That was always annoying for me, because the controller makes you feel like you should be able to walk slowly, etc. Any pressure on the stick had me walking at full speed. I don't know if anyone else got it to work, but that was my experience.

Simple answer * YES * i have set it up many times to different functions it acts as a joystick and you set it up through the 2ndary control function set up through BF2/PR i mainly use it for jets when i feel competent enough not to crash... but what is nice is if you wanted to use the triggers for throttle you can control the Percent % of throttle with the spring feedback in the triggers ... VERY USEFUL for approaches

Arnoldio, when you say you do slow speeds with your keyboard, are you just tapping the W key or do you have some program that you can bind analog values to?

Slow taping. You must time it just right so it doesnt decellerate.

Joystick throttle can work ok for tanks.
Back in C2 of the PRT Lev-Astov used to have his PC with a joystick hooked up and use that to keep a steady throttle on his vehicle and then sit in the gunner seat on his laptop and shoot xD

Tim dont give'm any ideas, that's not what admins like, and will get banned anyone doing it.
BTT, tapping what? W key while taxi on runway? Why? Bind arrow keys to pitch fwd and back, and use arrow keys to drive in slow speed ( taxi ) on runway. Easy, that's why 'taxi engine' is implemented in PR.
