Could i set up my own delivery from Newegg? If so how would I go about that?
Unfortunately, Newegg doesn't deliver internationally.
Newegg.com does not currently ship internationally; we only deliver to locations within the United States and to Puerto Rico.

I simply can not find a gaming laptop for ~1k Euro due to Ireland's VAT tax, shipping charges and and the higher cost of retail laptops in Ireland/UK/EUrozone.

Pysko, you and I are in the same boat.
During the summer, Try to pick up a laptop on clearance, one that has a gtx 460m 192 core 1.5GB VRAM , or gtx 560m 192 core 1.5GB VRAM video card in it.

Ah, I just re-read that post and got it. If you know someone in the US and can trust them, order a computer and ship it to their place then have them mail it to you. But, that's ONLY if you can trust someone to do it.

The cost to ship from USA to Ireland, when including the freight insurance on US$1000, is not cheap.

A Fedex quote is US$204 for shipping, Ireland import tax/duty, and insurance.

That's almost equal to the Ireland VAT.

That still leaves you looking at laptops in the US$800 range, which is still not considered a "gaming laptop".

One note, in a few weeks, Acer has the M3 Ultrabook coming out with the nVIdia 640M GPU, which will run BF2 :P R, but not arma2, and it'll be in this price range.

Any other latop you find with a 640M will also be viable for BF2 :P R, but not for newer games, and wil be in the same price range.

Ouch. Yeah, I wouldn't do that.
