C4 / random (cache) explosion bug

Description:

well, this one is gonna be hard to explain, but i hope that someone else here also has experienced this one before.

the only description i can provide is that from time to time there are random explosions, quite similar to C4 explosions, on the maps (INS and AAS).

in AAS mode its quite scary when it happens but not as relevant as in INS mode, because in this mode those explosions sometimes cause caches to explode.

in addition, those explosions have a much bigger splash ratio than regular C4 or IED explosions.

excluded causes:

- enemy placed C4/IED
- (enemy close to that certain position)
- enemy dropped C4 from high altitude
- friendly placed C4

Steps to Reproduce:

if i only knew... it happens so random and sporadic.

This happens sometimes when you spawn in to an area where something has blown up and you weren't there, game catching up with you...I really don't know. Happens to me all the time.

i know what you are talking about, but that aint the thing i am talking about here

imagine this:

you are on a server, its 4 vs 4, server seeding time, the map is kokan. round has begun, you spawn in and sit at one and the same area for like 30 minutes without anyone close or even playing actively, since 3/4 of all people on the server are idle.

the server just does not fill up, but thats not intereresting, because BOOM! a huge explosion 20m next to the cache on the open field which causes the cache to detonate.

yep, im absolutely sure. ive got eyewitnesses but no visual proof in form of a video yet. i never experienced this in versions before 0.96 by the way.

Happened to me on Silent Eagle when i tested the map on hamachi with one mate (pr 0.95, not encountered on 0.97). Only us, no bots and no other players.
1 explosion on the german tarmac, and one on the sky killed me when i flew the huey. Explosions can be seen and heard by other people at the same time.

i had some moments with unknown explosions like you describe, sounds exactly like c4 and happens most on fallujah..

i had one guy of my clan at the other side and i was on the cache, we are maybe 5vs5 or so, seeding the server.. and then i heard a c4 explosion, no casualties, the 5 insurgents run to the explosion area.. no smoke of the explosion was seen, and then i asked my friend which was on the other team and he said to me that nobody is actual playing, they are hanging around in the base and driving HMVs around just for fun..
their was no mortar, no enemie, no insurgent with c4, no casulties..

i had those moments also on filled server while playing, but their you cant say if its a bug or an enemie or something else..

so i can say i had the same thing as the guy above explained.. but with no casulties, also the cache was fine..
