I've got a buddy from work that was wanting to build a computer himself. He mainly plays games like Starcraft 2 and was something he could play ultra graphics on. He didn't give me a budget, so I told him I'd keep it around $800 or so. I threw this together.

He said he has Win7 discs from his other computer (it's a Wal-Mart bought HP) that he can use.
Any input?
Also, he probably won't be buying it all right away. Most likely buy parts overtime, so may leave room for upgrades as prices drop (maybe get a 6950/70 instead of 6870).

Re: Buddy wanting to build computer
All good but the board. Very bad reviews, Id stay away from it. This one has nice feedback and nice options, for a bit more cash.

Re: Buddy wanting to build computer
THose win7 discs are probably OEM discs, meaning they are tied to the motherboard's unique ID when the win7 license was registered.
Otherwise all good, indeed that mobo you selected has had continuous bad reviews, never a good sign. Try something else, plenty of options in that price range.

Ooo...and it has UEFI BIOS. Mine doesn't even have that.
Okay, here's my question. Is AM3+ backwards compatible with AM3?
EDIT: Nevermind that question, a quick Google search answered it for myself.
