[Solved] MD5Tool Mismatch: RendDX9_r.dll PB Kick

Post by SoccerSpartan »

So Ive been getting this error.

Image

Ive been playing PR off and on for a few years now, and have never gotten it. Upon re-installing PR resently Ive started getting it. I tried re-installing PR and am still geting the kick. It occurs randomly. Ive seen several threads about this but have yet to find a solution that seemed to have definetly worked. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I hate this error.
Need some info from you:
OS? 32 or 64 bit?
What version of BF2 do you have? Steam, Origin, Retail CD, etc.
What antivirus/firewall/antimalware software is running?

This is a result Usually of a corrupted download or a antivirus hitting a false positive for the shader.zip file. But there ARE others situations that can cause this.

One simple solution is to find the RendDX9_r.dll file and rename it to RendDX9_r.dll.2
Seriously, it works because there is a backup of the file in the DX( distribution and if you rename the file the OS will use the backup.

When you answer the questions above I'll give you some possible solutions.

64 bit Windows 7
A digital copy of BF2 (Not origin or steam, pretty much identical to a disk copy, bought it on Direct2Drive before they got bought out)
I use AVG Free Edition 2012 for my antivirus

Thanks for the help!

Temporary disable AVG antivirus and check its quarantine for any traces of BF2 or PR game files. Restore if there are any.

This file you got kick for is used for debugging BF2 only, and so you dont really need it unless youre actually using BF2 in debug mode. Just move the file on your desktop out of your BF2 folder and you will be fine.

Should I be moving the one in the BF2 Root folder or the one under the PR mod folder?

Yes move them both, cause I dont know for which one you got kicked. Btw are you using BF2_r.exe? Doing any modding? How you get this file its not in standard install? Not in mine..
