PR wont launch

Post by Harveyy »

Hey guys. Ive played PR since around 0.8 or so patch, and never once had a problem with it.

I recently came back to it last night, and got it all installed fine, didnt notice any problems during installation, however, now that its installed, I go to launch the game, both from, desktop, start menu and within bf2/mods/pr.exe

The initial "Project reality" screen comes up, just like the way BF2 goes when its starting up, however, the game does not load. The screen goes away but nothing happens.

Is there anyone that would be able to help me with my little problem? Im itching to get into battle!

Ps. Not sure if this is a bug, but I posted it here just to be on the safe side.

EDIT: PC Specs are;

Windows 7
AMD Phenom II x4 3.2ghz OC to 3.8ghz
4gb DDR3 RAM
GTX260 Superclocked
MSI 870 - C45 Motherboard

if that helps at all.

During the re-install process make sure you run BF2 once before you install PR. Not sure if this is a universal issue or not, but it's a step I have to do every time I re-install or PR won't launch.

Yeah it usually helps to run BF2 before you try to run PR. I sometimes like da fuq when I try to run PR first after a fresh reinstall, then realize that I should run BF2 first.
