Jet practice

When I practice playing I go to Deployment and then Create Local. I set it up for one person (me) and then muck about with vehicles and, most importantly, helicopters. I always go on maps which clearly say they have jets on my side, yet when I go to the hangars and the runway, there are no jets. Where can I find them?

You should try downloading Test Airfield, it's a lot more practical when it comes to training than the other maps. Most jets on regular maps spawn between 3:43 and 3:40.

the jets spawn after 20minutes in regular games, you can access nonbot versions of the jets on Cooperative, cooperative games are accessed from teh main menu (above deployment)

if there are bots on the map then there is a chance you'll be engaged by enemy aircraft or anti air vehicles, so set bots to zero if you prefer, though having 5 or so guys on the enemy team could provide a challenge

alternatively go to a local game and then type in all chat "rcon debug" then you'll gain rcon powers.

To spawn the US jets you just type rcon spawner

followed by one of these:
us_jet_a10a
us_jet_f16
mec_jet_mig29
mec_jet_su25a

While the topic is up, what are some good things to practice? I've always wanted to learn to do CAS, but I get distracted by every little thing and never get good at anything :/

honestly...landing than after that probably using ur cannon on ground targets, cause u only get a certain amount of time when i.e diving on a target before u got to pull up.

All training i've got is from CO-OP maps, a fair practice, still, couldn't get the bombs to land where i wanted >.<

Be sure to wait until your pilot starts yelling shit before dropping the payload, eg "I got him locked!" or something among those lines.

Once you've learned how to land TADAH. You don't need much else really, flying is piss easy

Be sure that you have a Laser Target Marker by an Officer or a Sniper, if you don't have the Laser Target the bomb will not get where you want, cheers...

There are some maps out with insta spawn and all the jets. Just ask around somebody is bound to have them. I think one is a training version of burning sands.

just go on MerK jet/helecopter training map .... or [CIA] skyraiders for vietnam birds

I went on he PRTA test airfield map and:

1. Rhino has put in laser markers for practise in the sea on boats.
2. All aircraft including AV8/harrier are there the only that isn't is the Vietnam one.
3. You don't need pilot kit just hop in and go

If you find yourself being engaged against your will please report him on PRTA website and he will be banned from that server.

Well that depends on what team your on and if that jet has been coded for that team
