[Request] Ultra-high resolution screenshot
G'day Gents and Gentettes.
Does anyone have a screenshot of PR that's like, 5000 pixels or larger?
Would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

I reckon the only way of achieving that is to stitch several screenshots together.

Well, I assume BF2 (with it being 2005) would only support 1920x1080 (full 1080p) as a max :/

You can play with higher resolution, but you might have to change it in the config file or something, not sure. If you play with a wider resolution you will want to use that widescreen fixer program so the game doesn't just stretch across the screen.

1. Stand in a spot facing due north
2. take a screenshot
3. move east or west hundreds of meters
4. take another one
5. open up photoshop

I tried that using battlerecorder. Got tricky when the distant objects looked the same every time, and the closer objects changed significantly. Ended up with lots of the same Humvee, for example40mmrain wrote:1. Stand in a spot facing due north

BR quality would look rubbish that large wouldn't it?
Have you tried using Bicubic Smoother interpolation to resize an image? Do it increasing the size in increments rather than going for the massive picture in one go.

you can set custom resolutions in the TARGET field, for example +szx 4096 +szy 2304. but who has a monitor that can display that resolution?

Re: [Request] Ultra-high resolution screenshot
Why would that be? The graphics depend on what settings you have. And if it's a still shot, it doesn't mean if BR quality is set to 1. If you want movement, BR setting at 10 is the way to go. But graphics-wise, BR or not, doesn't matter.[R-MOD]IINoddyII wrote:BR quality would look rubbish that large wouldn't it?

My experience most servers run with low BR settings as a rule to reduce overheads.
So are you saying quality isn't impacted for still shots and it's totally client side?

Re: [Request] Ultra-high resolution screenshot
If you view a BR file that has been recorded with BR quality set to 1 (lowest), you'll see hickups in playermovement, especially vehicles. The BR file doesn't do anything with graphics, it only records movement, when someone fires, when something explodes, where projectiles are, etc.
The higher you set the BR quality, the more information the BR file has to contain and the more 'stress' it causes the server. It has to record all that and save it.

So that's why on BRs you can see missiles flying past the point of where they exploded?

I use 2560x1440. It's large enough for most purposes, not up to par with a 5000xsomething resolution, but that would be insanely cool.
