The mods have stated numerous times over several recent threads that PR2 is still under developement and the Devs involved are active. Most production teams are kindly asked to refrain from disclosing information in regards to the development of their product. Be patient.

If the OP has encountered something helpful to the community, I applaud.

I don't think it's worry that PR2 doesn't have funding, rather it's seeing other indie game projects getting massive amounts of free money on kickstarter, and wondering if PR2 devs have considered doing it.

I'd say that's on quite a few peoples minds. Project takedown got just over 200K and they have practically nothing. With what PR has and could essentially offer the market in the future. They could easily make a lot of money.

While getting other benefits as mentioned before. Most of which would allow them to expand or even further refine/invest in current projects or avenues of pursuit.

Keep in mid that PR team has a lot to show on BF2 engine, it will be piss easy to convince others that PR2 will be even better.

It would be good, really good and probably faster than Takedown. :D

A good question. The pledge:actual dosh ratio would need to be a consideration with any use of the fundraising system.

I assume a good proportion of the $2.9M pledged for Wasteland 2 via Kickstarter (they asked for $900K) would have made it - they're now aiming for $3M.

What will be difficult is presenting the visceral nature of PR. Awhile ago MoH was scorned for having the 'Taliban' as one of the playable factions by numerous different news sources. Thank god those same people weren't aware of PR and saw videos such as these.

I fear that PR's realistic representation of the 'enemy' will alienate alot of people interested in donating. That isn't to say KickStarter isn't a good idea (its genius) but it may not be the right thing for PR.

Or maybe they should present it just like that... from both sides. Noone has ever done that, because people with power manipulate what game companies will do. In purist world there should be only games with US forces, probably invincible, killing hordes of talibans and terrorist. America fuck yeah style. Every body who veered off that ida, gets flagged on promoting terrorism and is banned from germany and pretty much every country... Like the 6 days in fallujah, or whatever the game in development was... AND YOU COULDNT EVNE PLAY AS THE TERRORIST!

Now PR2 will have people buying the game... there is thousands of us that would 100% buy and they can distribute it online. They can take the "im your *****" way and make the game for US and A, or portray the real world situation with no americanized bullshit and go the "fuck you" rocknroll way.
