That's just what I have been thinking! Why all the negative stuff? All you want to do is improve, and with feedback ofcourse, to make it even better, the sounds of PR.
I would guess it has to do with that you're not "one of the team".

I think the very best part of your mod is the sound of bullets hitting shit around you and flying over your head. If there is anything that should be implanted into PR it is Definitely that! Cause it makes shit so much more realistic and scary. Although I like most of the sounds, but that just makes me shit in my pants when I get shot at.

thx, that's the entire point of the video series. The cinematic teaser was just to lead it in. To announce it, but in a professional way. With the gameplay teasers we can show what anders actually developed.

@Mineralwa/outer: Still, that Blackhawk (after dropping squad) could've used a gatling-gunner to supress/kill some of those Taliban/Insurgents on the roof (in that teaser).

We were showing off the BH sound, not the minigun. This video was not about the visual or realistic storyboard, more about the audio ;)

YEAH, SO WHYYYY not show the AMAZING new gatling sound TOO??? ALSO EVEN adds some realism to the storyline! So even two benefits! ;) :D

^ nice vid - I definitely think my favourite Anders addition is the new explosions - even in 0.3 it makes Kashan PRSP awesomesauce, was that the sound of landing dirt debris on that nearby explosion too? Really nice, maybe a bit long lived without a visual accompanying it, but lovely

wounded sounds = very good



EDIT - Perhaps the video should have stayed in the 0.4 release thread, this is gonna lead to duplicate discussions

Nice, the explosion sounds are great indeed! The FAL felt quite nice too. I'm looking forward to trying it all out myself. :)

I liek all of that. The explosions sounds very beefy, the shell incomings sounds pretty intense, the distant gunfire is great, that FAL is pretty beefy too.

This teaser is amazing. So far shows the potential the best from other videos. ;> Nice job Anders.

I wonder - are the woundead sounds that loud in 3p as well tho? That's what's really annoying in PR, that you can judge hit of enemy from 50 meters just because of this idiotic scream. :P It reminds me of all these Hollywood clich?s. Imo the silent is scream of dying person the more realistic feel and more immersion. When confronted with death nothing scares so much as silence! :P

Well, you can't hear the hurt/wounded sounds in 3p mate. You can't in default PR either. If that would work, it would be VERY annoying on the battlefield. Its enough with all the other death/revive/coughing sounds that you can hear in 3p. :)

Yeh I meant those. I mean I hear when someone just gets wounded and it's awful for me. Maybe some soldiers scream when getting killed, but not 100%, I would guess it's like not much and for sure then do not use same shout for it. :P So n PR hearing all the time "meeedicc!" after you kill a guy is just immersion killer. :(
