Vietnam Beta 2 CTDs

After getting Beta 2 I can not play vietnam maps.

Tested on TAR, pretty sure they are up to date.

On Ia drang After laoding i just CTD

And on Dien Duong INS when i try to join the server it crashes to desktop. Please help

Sounds to me you haven't updated at all. What method you used for updating? Downloaded archive and extracted or you used Updater?

I extracted with 7Zip....I even did it twice

and where di you extract the files

Perhaps Windows doesn't let him extract stuff in the program-files directory?

Program Files (x86)/ EA Games/ Battle Field 2



I think maybe something is wrong with 7 zip. Can i just copy and paste the files and get the desired results?

Any more suggestions for this?

Can i just delete the PRV Files and reinstall PRV?

I dont want to reinstall PR but i will if thats the only option. But i need to know what i did wrong so i can install it right

If you go to the PR directory, there's a file called "prv.version". Open that with notepad. Make sure it says "Beta 1". Then run the updater again, let's hope it works.

It says Beta 1.

I tried the updater and it says server is down.

I updated and checked the file version. It now says Beta 2. I havent tried it yet in game.

Im still not sure what went wrong with the manual installation.

Now i got finals to study for. Ill let you know if it works in game when i try it.
