[?] Where to start?
Helloooo PR modders. As my title suggests... where do I start modding? I know about the BF2 editor but I don't know where to get it. I really am intrested in this and I can't seem to find a recent thread on it. Some guys have been saying they wanted updated MEC kits (i.e uniforms, a possible dufflebag fix) and I'd love to start with making animations and 3d models for that.

Within the Modding forum, there are two sub-forums: Modding Tutorials and Community Maps. Check the tutorials sub-forum for a huge list of tutorials. The most common ones are stickied at the top, but do a search if you can't find the one you're looking for.
Good luck and let us know if you have any problems that the tutorials don't seem to answer.

Re: Where to start?
I was thinking on working PMC stuff but I wanted to try modifying MEC uniforms as practice. Which modeling program would you suggest?

Is that some cryptic way of saying you have somehting planned for them? I just wanted to practice changing their uniforms, kits were the first thing that came to mind when describing it.[R-DEV]J.F.Leusch69 wrote:no need to worry about the mec kits...

Re: [?] Where to start?
Sorry for the hiatus. Finals came upon our school. But this summer I will be able to work on modding. I familiarized myself with the engine and made a map that I tried out on a hamachi server. Pock I don't know the situation with xfire and I don't really use it much but we can smooth that out.
