Do you use any overlays? Is Steam on when you start PR? Disable Steam overlay and any others, turn off any background applications and see what happens then.
If anything else we said here fails, Im out of ideas. Try different mouse, but I doubt that will help. I suppose you dont have crossfire? ATI 5670 two of them? Are you sure your PC is not freezing only mouse gets unresponsive?

re: [Solved] No servers and mouse freeze
Right, so your monitor's native resolution is this:
Native Mode: 1600 x 900(p) (60.000Hz)
Which is a 16 by 9 resolution.
Your game should be loading up ar16_9.sar
but you are loading up this:
System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr\ar4_3.sar' because it is being used by another process.
[/QUOTE]
This is the problem your mouse is moving at a 16x9 resolution and your game is set to 4x3, and IDK if your game is actually running at 4x3 or 16x9 resolution.
Start PR. Log in. GO to OPtions, Video , Select the 1600 x 900 (@60hz) option, click save/apply,
RESTART PR.
Now you should check to see if you have a file called c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\pr\ar16_9.sar
IF you do, your errors in PR error log will stop showing up, and your mouse should probably work.

Issue has been solved. The issue seems to be connected to Xfire and the Xfire in game.

So it was overlay. Glad you got it. Locking.
