Commander's Choice Event

Coming this Sunday, May 13th, 2012 at 21:00 GMT, on the wake of the recently released Anders SoundMod v0.4, PRTA NA will be hosting its very first event!

PRTA NA doesn't need fancy events or crazy map nights. We just need teamwork. And it's in no short supply!

Commander's Choice event is an open event for all players. Commander's Choice is exactly how it sounds. The two chosen Commanders will select back and forth the Squad Leaders they want on their team. This is from the idea that a good team of Squad Leaders under a good Commander is what makes Project Reality the game that it is.

To sign up as a Squad Leader, post in the signup thread! The picking will start this Saturday! If you do not wish to be a Squad Leader, then just show up at that time and join your favorite Squad Leaders squad!

This event WILL be using the newly released Anders SoundMod which you can download and read up on here. The password will be in the server name because of this. It is not mandatory to have this to join the server, but we will be supporting it on our server for those that would like to use it.

21:00 GMT is even fine for Europeans! And High Ping is not really an issue Daniel You can play fine with a 200/300 ping as long as the server itself doesn't lag. And in PRTA's case, server's never lag.

I have lags with 140 ping, at least when I'm located in a big city as Berlin! Probably that's reason...

Oh put the kleenex away and suck it up. I've been playing PR for years on servers overseas. God forbid some Euros have to finally see what the North Americans that wanted to play an event have had to deal with, not to mention NAs who played in the PRT and now play in TART.

Americans have had organized events for quite a while now, the Tactical Gamer community has hosted its fair share of scrims and special nights for teamwork...
