[Solved] Mumble Not Detecting Key Input

Post by ryan d ale »

1. Mumble worked amazingly forever.
2. Suddenly stops Working.

I went through the audio set-up several times.

I checked audio signals.

Mumble is detecting my microphone.

Changed 'device selection'.

Turned comp on and off.

Turned on Overlay and it looks like mumble isn't detecting default keys anymore even though I have never changed them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try reinstalling mumble :)

http://realitymodfiles.com/dbzao/PR_Mum ... Beta_4.msi (Mumble 1.0 beta 4 download link)

Fixes my keybinding from time to time. My mumble clears the bindings seemingly at random.

Uninstall it from control panel and do this after.
[R-COM]MaSSive wrote:Ok. Try this.

Uninstall mumble, and delete its configs. Easiest way is to use Win+R and type "%appdata%" and press enter.

It will open "C:\Users\*YOU*\AppData\Roaming"

Now lookup for folder named Mumble there and delete it. Reboot and do registry cleanup after that. ( CC Cleaner ie. )

Once you reboot install mumble again BUT make sure you right click on installer and check all on compatibiity tab except "Run in 256 colors" and "Run in 640x480 resolution". Use XP SP3 compatibility mode.

Run installer and when it prompts to start and run audio wizard shut it down. Find mumble icon and go to compatibility tab again. ( Remember do this on mumble shortcut now not the installer )

Check run as administrator there and Run is XP SP3 compatibility mode, nothing else!

Now you can start it and go trough audio wizard, make sure you follow instructions in this thread.

Let us know if its fixed after that.
Some steps might not be necessary but %appdata% part and registry cleanup is.
