So about 80 people are not playing on tg because noone else is playing xd . I mean plant server seeds in the fall so you can pluck server blades in the spring of a mana tree.

Seriously though, seeding a server is being the guys that joins when 0-10 players are online, hoping to set a base to attract more players.

My sources might be mistaken, but romours are there is a severe people drought in China. Chinese do not abbound. Due to the several lack of chinese any attempts by people who have mastered the difficult Chinese language to promote PR among the few chinese players are doomed to pfail o.0

I play this game for fun. I have more fun playing immediately in a populated match as opposed to seeing a server for hours waiting.

Playing a video game should never be a chore.

While you are not playing, join and alt tab. By the time gametime comes around there might be 40ish players online and it could pickup from there.

If you're playing with a group of 6-10 players it's easier to get a less populated server filled up. Me and my mates tend to join legit servers with less than 40 players if we're 6-10 guys. This way you've already helped the server a lot, and the server will become more attractive for other players too, as it's become more popular.
If I play alone, however, I tend to join the server that I find attractive, which is usually the one with most players.

I think trying to convince people to join less populated servers is easier said than done. As Dtacs said, he plays this game to have fun, and so do I and a lot of others (probably the majority of this community). People aren't patient enough to seed servers so they can play, they'd rather just wait a couple of minutes for a slot on the populated ones. I don't mind seeding a server if I'm not planning to play PR, but AFK-seeding is not the same as actually playing.

One of the things that might help is delete a lot of the servers that are splitting up the groups. Look at al those clan servers and pasworded servers with 6 clanmembers in it doing nothing, cleaning the server list would be a great a idea to stop the clans from hosting useless servers. The second thing is, is that servers like TG are not popular for everyone since you often get kicked for supporting members, and playing half games isn't really enjoying. The second one is, is that often servers keep roulating the servers that won't attract people. And not to forget, when people get started at the beginning of the evening, they don't want to seed and wait. They want to get in a game and start shooting and blowing things up.

I would actually support servers hosted by the PR itself, and maybe 5 extra that are clan-hosted.

So the server schedule like this;

North America - 1 AAS server, 1 INS Server, 2 Mixed Servers
Western Europe (GB)- 1 AAS Server, 1 INS server, 2 Mixed Servers
Australia - 1 Mixed Server
Eastern Europe (Russia/ Ukraine) - 2 Mixed servers
Asia - 2 Mixed Servers

So 13 Servers in total if I counted right, so people won't see to many server in front of their eyes that will cause a brain-crash. Of course this isn't the solution for the problem, but it will stop fragmentating the clans and community into thousand pieces.

And who should admin these official servers?
Honestly, thats just not possible, the PR team has not the manpower to host/admin/maintain these servers.
And if we *would* going to look for clans providing them what would be the difference to how it is now? This would just make some clans jealous and result in edrama.
I also really enjoy the freedom of the servers we have at the moment. Nobody forces anybody to get an own server and if you still want one its just up to themselves to fill it.

Most of the servers support the PR team for years now, thats something I am very happy of and appreciate alot.

What I hate about seeding is, when i join a server with say 8 players in it, just to find out they are all afk. In such a number, we could play a decent infantry game, especially if they would care to run a skirmish or 1km map for seeding. Instead i have to wait if some active people join in, or leave for some active server myself.
In these cases, the seeders are just upping the numbers on deployment screen, the server is just empty.

I'm just messing with you. CIA understands all too well about populating and seeding servers as an unknown, underdog server.

So please, support an upstart you think will give you the best experience, its lonely at the top.

Edit: might I suggest a server seed mode. Take for instance the message displayed before a round stating the number of.players.needed before a round actually starts, amd everything is reset. Is it possible to change game mechanics to give people access to spawning vehicles or PRBot; to momentarily turn off FF; to do something, anything to keep players interested in seeding?

Maybe an actual seeding game mode where tons of vehicles are spawned or where soldiers can fly or where players can test unfinished vehicles and weapons.

Just something, ANYTHING to keep players interested while they wait for a real game.

The quality has not matured to that of servers like TG, so you'll get better game play on TG. But that isn't to say the Chinese PR community is bad, I just think communication is lacking.

But on the Korean server, communication I find is amazing! (Most of them can understand English) But even still, communication and teamwork is not on-par with that of TG. Or from what I have read, what used to be TG.

Then you increase communication and teamwork by joining a chinese clan/community! ( IF that exists, otherwise found one! )
