Looks like a better, more open version of Korengal with a different color palette. Nice work.

it sort of turned into korengal mixed with lashkar valley and kokan when i changed the overgrowth and added more fieldsdtacs wrote:Looks like a better, more open version of Korengal with a different color palette. Nice work.
[R-DEV]Ninja2dan: Not having a spotter is like masturbating with a cheese grater...mildly amusing at first, but generally painful and bloody in the end.
Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

You sure the settings are OK of this one? Looks like you need to change a 1 to a 2.

Re: [Map] Badghis mountains (2km) [WIP]
is it possible to add fog or clouds to a map
I was thinking you add them to some hilltops
wasn't there a map with sand flying around cant remember what it was called though
but since this map is 2km and mostly mountains
I dont think clouds will effect performance that much
but so far looks really fun and infantry friendly also I love those flower fields

Yes it is possible! Karkand has a big cloud layer over the map and Operation Overlord (Project Normandy) uses clouds to simulate fog on the beaches[R-COM]rushn wrote:is it possible to add fog or clouds to a map

Re: [Map] Badghis mountains (2km) [WIP]
On the minimap, it looks like the terrain is casting shadows on itself in the opposite direction than objects are? I know its WIP, just wanted to make sure im not going mad.
Anyway, this looks fantastic, great atmosphere, great layout, im loving it! (Tada ta ta taa!)

its not? the sun is in the south, thus casting shadows on the north side of the ridge, and the objects are not lightmapped yetlucky.BOY wrote:On the minimap, it looks like the terrain is casting shadows on itself in the opposite direction than objects are? Did you try to pain over again? To correct those issues? It looks like a problem with the grid.

it just continues to make the black spots along the seam of the texturesPvt.LHeureux wrote:Did you try to pain over again? To correct those issues? It looks like a problem with the grid.

The editor is weird at times. Is it like that in-game too? Most of the times, it's fine in-game, but like that in the editor.

Re: [Map] Badghis mountains (2km) [WIP]
The black spots are only an editor problem. It should look fine ingame.
The misaligned colour textures can either be fail dds compression (which you have to fix manually) or sometimes it can be fixed once final lightmaps are applied (actually I think the light maps only effect baked roads).
