Abrams gunner sight on wrong side

I think this has been posted before but i cant find it so to be sure im making a post.

The gunners sight should be up and to the right of the barrel, if you look at the front of the turret of an Abrams you can see all the gunner optics on the top left.

If you can play the game Steel Beasts, which is geared to be really accurate in models and stuff like that, the sight is on the upper right.

It's known, I just can't remember the reason for it.

From what I can recall its that a barrel on the left would look odd to the gunner. It certainly did in PoE2 which had the Leo's sights on the right.

That probably because we got used to the wrong way. But i think at least i can adjust, honestly it isnt that big of a difference.

I feel slightly more stupid for reading 2+ community members wasting bandwidth quoting what other games do/portray. Give us proper refs as a real suggestion would. Or save your breath and lump your thread with the usual suggestions from lifetime PC gamers and file your suggestion with the usual unresearched suggestions in this forum.

As you can see there are no sights anywhere near where it is in PR.

Im not trying to be a **** and dis credit the military advisers, but its pretty obvious its not in the right place.

IF you really want i can talk to a guy who has been in an Abrams.

All it would've taken is a fucking google search instead of a two paragraph flame. In PR it's on the left, IRL its on the right. An aesthetic change that doesn't hurt anybody.



But without developer comments on the matter of why it wasn't changed long ago we're still buttfuck stupid community nobodies who's discussion is totally irrelevant apparently.

As this needs a reexport and our current exporter(s) are already very busy I don't see this getting fixed soon.
