Buying a Server

Post by vval2l2eiv »

I am planning to buy a Project Reality server for the clan I am in, 508th. I already looked into the server license required by PR; but i do not know any companies that host servers for PR.

I also want to know how much the cost is for a 64 player Insurgency server.

Thank you for advance.

If you want to buy a complete solution with simplified control panel it would be our official endorser hosting company Alpha Networks.

Game Servers | Alpha-Networks | Low Latency Game Servers

If you're thinking of dedicated ( root ) servers which you will manage by yourself and run anything you want on it then it depends on part of US where you are.

There are US admins which can assist you in that choice. Im from Europe so I cant say for that.

Do you know a north american server company that provide Project Reality;

I don't mind using Alpha, but their product is in euro; if I buy a server from them, is there any special sort of transaction required that I have to go through?

]CIA[ rents a dedicated server box from ArtofwarCentral. They do not have bandwidth restrictions and are usually rather helpful with technical issues.

However, if you are asking if there is a company that will install PR for you and take care of settings, then Alpha-Networks is the only company in the world that I know of, who would do this.

You could always rent a server from ]CIA[. We have a server just waiting to be used, we just need users.

Pm me if you're interested.

Edit: The going rate for a Public BF2 server is 99 cents a slot @ 64 slots is 64 bucks.

We can offer 64 slots@ 94 cents a slot (60 a month) and you have my personal guarantee that you will be running as well as ]CIA['s server

We can also offer you up to 256 slots on a TS server, pricing dependent upon your slot choice

No. There is no one that I know of. AN is only company that provides complete solution for PR.

Actually its in GBP. 1 GBP = 1.58 USD

And I'm sure they accept USD too or just any currency. If you mean taxes that's a different thing, you will need to contact them about details.

Multiplay (http://www.multiplay.co.uk) will also allow you to run a PR server through a simplified server management interface and they are one of the best server providers in the world. They have some US based servers I believe, quite a few of them now actually.

Is there an extra cost to host Battle Recorder along with the server?

I think that would come more under the extra bandwidth required and the amount of space on the actual server for storing the files (which is why some/most servers remove them after a certain amount of time).
