i had bf2 installed + 1.41 but wasn't sure if i had 1.50 so i read the pinned topic, downloaded the registry fix thing, after doing that i could install the PR parts. now i had problems with pr.exe working, it loaded up, went off then bf2 loads, black screens and then goes off.
i've uninstalled bf2 and pr and reinstalled bf2, 1.41 and installing 1.50 now properly without doing the registry fix.
was i wrong at first to just download the registry fix without fully knowing if i had 1.50 installed? the thing is though, it allowed to me to install the pr parts.

Yes you were wrong. PR requires BF2 to be patched to 1.5 to properly work.
Just finish reinstall and should be fine if you didn't messed up your registry.
