CHECK THIS SERVER OUT PRONTO!!!!
FMJ Server
66.17.245.210
This server has the unlocked weapons, I don't know how they got them, but they did. And it's something everyone should check out the unlockables are pretty cool.

Meh, I dislike the entire concept of unlockable weapons. Especialy since the ones they implimented don't belong in the game, with the exception of a few for the MEC and maybe that M95 thinger for the US. BUT THAT ISN'T THE POINT! This is not some MMORPG, it should depend on skill of the gunner, not the gun its self. Anyways.... I'm happy with no time limits. I don't wan't to play somewhere where I get killed because the gun I LIKE is inferior to some fubared unlockable weapon.

Which is actually a violation of the EULA associated with the demo. I would avoid doing such. EA is delisting/banning any server that has no timelimit or has the locked weapons available to players for a week.SGT-Kwint[75thR wrote:]The timer and guns are no hack or whatever but just editing the INI files a bit.

I know, just making clear it's not a hack.[R-DEV wrote:Dre]Which is actually a violation of the EULA associated with the demo. I would avoid doing such. i just read the update on bf2.com and it said something to the effect that they see it as hacking and that they will be delisting the servers... i dont see why, except for that they probably dont want the updated weapons available before the real game. but in my opinion the regular weapons are better anyway (except maybe the sniper rifle).
But i have to ask, if EA/DICE didnt want the weapons released, how is it even possible to get them through the demo. wouldnt the unlockable weapons have to actually be somewhere in the demo code to be able to hack them into the servers? obviously im no genius when it comes to these things but it had me wondering.

It's EA. Check out our site, we put up a story about it as it was announced in the BF2 community update.Beckwith wrote:from what iv heard thats gamespy delisting not EA
I'm guessing that the code for the weapons were left in the demo build due to time constraints. Could be that the code involved is heavily relied on by other aspects of the demo and given the time allowed, it had to be left in. I don't know, but that's my guess. But i have to ask, if EA/DICE didnt want the weapons released, how is it even possible to get them through the demo. wouldnt the unlockable weapons have to actually be somewhere in the demo code to be able to hack them into the servers? obviously im no genius when it comes to these things but it had me wondering.

yeah, at first i was pretty pumped about the unlockable weapons feature, but now i think that it should be more unlockable add-ons to youre regular weapons, scopes and silencers or whatever else, if thats possible it would be cool to have, if not then at least the unlockable stuff should be alot better than what they have in there for the demo, which are hopefully better in the retail version.

The unlockable items are only weapons, so I agree that additional "gear" would have been nice. I would have liked perhaps, additional grenade capacity or something along that lines.
I've been able to use all the unlockable weapons and aside from the .50 cal rifle, they aren't items I'll be using much. That .50 is insane.
