When you have intelligently out manoeuvred your opponent there is nothing more frustrating when operating your weapon in a logical manner than to have it (roll the dice) miss due to deviation and be killed by your slapdash unaware target because he went rock and roll and painted the area you were standing in whilst spinning around in a blind panic.

The cruel law of unintended consequences. Introduce a system to encourage realistic play, have players ignore it because it eventually punishes the best (ie intelligent, precise, prepared) players. Damn you cruel irony lol.

I hate deviation just because of that. Its constantly RNG who gets the kill if 2 guys go full auto on each other. Has nothing to do with aim just numbers behind the screen. And that snapping around thing and killing you instead happen so often its just retarded. And dont forget the fucked up hitbox, So you actually see the bullet hit the guys head and still he kills you with his first bullet.

I agree with L4gi 100%, Having gun on auto is the only right thing to do. Anything else will just get you killed. If you find yourself in a position were you have to sit down and wait for deviation then you have done something wrong.

What's so wrong with clan squads?

They don't include regular pubbers that don't have a certain group of people to play with.

Elitism is a part of life, my friends. Without it, there are no standards. Your parents/friends/workmates/girlfriends/etc. held a flag of elitism before you, making you who you are today: One of a circle of contacts and friends that exists because you allow each other to be a part of it.



I've already written on the subject of ostracizing new comers when playing. Personally, there are times when I have the patience to walk a newcomer through it. Other times, I don't. It depends on what I'm doing, the level of expertise required, and if the person is willing to cooperate.

I do not feel regret for any impression of elitism given to people I kick from a squad, or politely ask to join a different one. If I believe they are going to cause frustration to the majority involved by their coming along, my heart no longer bleeds for them.

The whole community, people, clans and the game itself promotes and enforces more or less co operation and teamwork oriented mind set. Problem is not the vets, problem is the new generations mentality to this game, they can't be arsed doing things that takes longer time then usually on any other fps game, I believe PR is aiming for promoting the community and the game for new comers but only the right people actually stick around, others move on to other games. What you have here today from all vets you can look up is their dedication and more or less patriotism to this community and the game as whole.

Elitism has always existed, even for myself when I started it became clear that this game is how mind set and what attitude you bring along. Starting of with the famous PRT tournament that I joined where all players set the bar so high that a large amount of time and interest were required to put in to achieve something, after that came along the clans, where I joined one of the most elite clans in this community and to this day it requires a lot of dedication and time. As usually in all parts of this community (tournaments, clans, events etc) it has always been required some level of serious business.

I'll repeat myself to sum this up, it's the mentality and attitude that requires of new comers, not different level of game play from the vets, all vets I know are friendly and open, as long as you have right game face on when you come in, not one of those childish and immature behaviors I see every day on servers. Server and the community/game promotes all kind of guidelines and rules, it is not us who fail on giving enough attention to new comers regarding how to be and what to have. All servers in this game has serious and simple but still enjoyable rules to follow to achieve a good game.

But I do agree that not everyone has good days every day, sometimes if the person in question doesn't approve something it's better to get out of his/her way (also speaking for my self )

What's so wrong with clan squads?

Most of the time, nothing. But there are cases where clan squads, in my opinion and experience, do not let some less experienced pubbers, or sometimes others, get the most out of the game.

First, when the clan squads are locked. Again, I understand, especially for the more serious clans, the desire to play as a highly trained unit. That's good, that's their call and the game needs it, too. But some clans only play with their own squadmembers this way, always going for the locked squad. Taking a pubber into the squad is likely going to bring the squad's effectiveness down (though not by too much if it's a willing and experienced player), and will likely give the pubber a great time.

Next, why not consider splitting up? Clan members don't have to be on the same squad. Instead of a 6-man infantry squad, they can have two 3-member infantry squads with each taking 3 pubbers. That way you give 6 pubbers a great time!

Most PR players that don't belong to any clans can be good squad members, but they require good SLs. I've seen lots of cases, and I think everyone has, where there's a good squad of pubbers, operating competently, then the SL leaves and the squad quickly falls apart. The other 5 guys, who were just operating as a unit, scatter to join other less organized squads, or remain as a single - but thoroughly ineffective - squad. That's another thing that happens less if clan squads give others room to join.

I like the healthy mix I see from NwA members. Sometimes they're in a tight locked squad, then the next round those guys are playing with pubbers. I appreciate that attitude very much.

Had a few problems when splitting up. You get 4 guys from the same clan leading squads which also have 1-3 clanmembers in them, the rest are pubbies, and you end up steamrolling even harder than you would by having 6 clanmembers in one squad. Core issue is that the enemy team most likely wont have the same set up going, and with 4 infantry squads having a few vets and having one leader calling the shots it doesnt matter what map you're on -> steamroll -> errybody mad.

I know when I get two or three friends on and we SL on one side it also happens.

Fun up to a point. Its always great working as a platoon. but when you just steamroll everyone it gets boring.
