Yes, there will be AFV Crewman and Aviator (fixed wing and helicopter) kits on appropriate maps.
Yay
I'm pretty sure they mean to include the kits, but I doubt you'll be able to lock out all other classes from a vehicle or particular position of a vehicle.

yeah my last post was sorta of of the blue :o ops: ..

but that's a good idea about punishing the tk's for planes.

i tell you what also piss's me off. those poeple whon stand infront of your plane when your about to take of and then they die a proclaim teamkill to rest of the server.

maybe they think its a two seater or sometihng, but last i checked a mig aint two seater (ingame mig that is)

Yeah one of the jets on the MEC airbase is a two-seater, but usually when that tactic is done it's a griefer who's pissed you took "his" plane and decides to punish you w/ a tk penalty. I've had it done to me as well. I just hope it doesn't become a common practice in ranked servers... :?

I think that is the fatal flaw in TK rules... to tell you the truth i think they should be taken out of PR.... since i think most of the people who will play that ...us, are intelligent and mature enough not to do that stuff. the only way to get rid of TKers is to vote them out.

IMO, it's either:

A) Let people decide if you should be punished for a TK and of course run across arses who will punish you unfairly..
B) Remove the ability to decide to punish and auto-punish
C) Remove the ability to decide, and do NOT auto-punish in which case someone could TK indefinately.

I think, given the circumstances... it may piss you off if someone punishes you but the only other viable option is that you're automatically punished anyway for any TK -- or have anarchy with no TK punishing whatsoever. Atleast allowing people to decide means SOME of the nice ones will forgive.. ;)

Only problem that i can see happening is this. Is the radar being removed or has this not been decided? If it is removed along with tags then identifying vehicles/ppl over long distance will cause a problem. With only limited veiw range you wont be able to distinguish very well. As only snipers have a decent zoom i see binoculars being added as has been suggested. Maybe SL should be issued with some field binocs so they can identify for their squads.

Also when im flying a Heli I find it hard to distingusih between Tanks and Apc's sometimes but i look at my radar to see if it is freindly or not. If that isnt there I would probably end up shooting my own vehicles :? Also if jeeps arent team locked then it would be impossible to tell as you dont even have the tags. Could choppers maybe have the same kind of thing that planes do that each vehicle has the 'lock on square' or whatever its techinal name is. Then you know boxes with crosses through are freindly? I think it would be handy even if it might not be realistic.

pilot class and squad leader has active minimap (what there is now), normal infantry just have a map that says where they are.

that way, those who fly can use the systems they would realistically have to decide if it's freindly or not.

also, i think the lock on missles would be more accurate than the camera guided missles, but im not sure exactly how hellfires work. are they camera guided or heat seeking?
