PR runs, suddenly black screen

Hey Folks,

A friend of mine downloaded BF2 over Steam to try PR, but unfortinatly he stumbled on a problem;

The desktop reappers after he joins a server. He clicks deploy, and the game makes a clean crash towards the desktop.

He already tried the + window0 thing, what it can be, and I kinda suspect that, he tried to play PR over a cracked copy of BF2, it failed, so he bought BF2 and he copy pasted the files to the new BF2 folder (he deinstalled the cracked BF2)

Any suggestions?

It's probably best to delete bf2+pr and start from the beginning again. Copying over the installation files is never a good idea.
