What is a MBi ban?

I went to play some PR for a couple hours before work today and this is my first time playing in a while. My IGN is LloydLac. and I tried to play a couple of the populated servers and on those I couldn't play, but on the servers with 5-15 people I could play.

I looked on google but was unable to find out what this is other than it is a ban.

Could you please be more specific? Provide us with the Punkbuster message please. Also MBi doesn't sound familiar to me.

Edit: I googled a bit. MBI seems to stand for Master Ban Index. Which also seems to be an external PB Ban database.

Have you ever used hacks/cheats or modified your game in any way to gain a benefit from it?

PBBans | MBi - Ban Search, you can do a search here by Alias (IGN) and LloydLac does not come up. Try using your GUID or IP.

Searching by nicknames isn't always helpfull. He could have used an other account. Best thing is an GUID search.

well if he using any different IGNs I don't know why he'd mention that one at all. It seems pretty obvious to me you can't seach by different names. Just use your GUID though.

Thanks the help guys. I've been using a program called Gamebooster and I'm not sure if it's interfering. I'll work on this but I have a feeling I'll need to buy another copy. It's not the end of the world.

You were using another alias when the ban was applied

Yes a new key is your only course of action. Remove the violating programs - I don't think gamebooster was the issue as a number of people have reported using it.

IIRC Gamebooster only shuts down unwanted background applications which frees up your system for a bit more gaming power. It does not alter the game in any way.
