why do you want to edit the kits and for what purpose?

rememeber that those kits are copyrighted material and you are not allowed to publish it, however you can do whatever you want for personal use only!

That's a problem related to skinning (not texturing, but skinning the verticies to the bone meshes). Make sure you have those appropriate verticies weighted correctly (usually a full weight or a half weight) to the appropriate bone.
