[?] PR Vietnam factions to co-op?
I would like to add Vietnam factions to co-op map. How is it done? I had converted vanilla BF2 map "Songhua Stalemate" to PR and I tried to change USMC and China factions to Vietnam era US Army and NVA, but the game crashed when it loaded the map to 100%. If I changed them to Germany and Militia for example, game would not crash at loading.

You crash, because the Vietnam weapons and vehicles haven't been coded to be used in SP/COOP.
There might be SP/COOP support in the future, but until then, it's MP only.

couldn't you kind of copy-paste the the codes and routes for atleast barracuda over to PRCOOP?

The cas huey's m60 ai isn't finished. Position 1 and 2 works but the doorgunner crash the game.
All things already tested at the first day of prv release.
It's a first beta release so wait that the devs can sort out the major MP bugs.
I hoping too, that the devs will finish the ai of all weapons, vehicles and what ever must be done but pls integrate the coop part.

I got the co-op working in maps from Eve of Destruction mod. I had to delete field dressings from all soldiers and had to add sp code to medic bag because if I didn't do that, there would be no way to heal yourself unless there are 2 players. Now I think, should I release it or would I need permission from Eve of Destruction team because I use maps from their mod?

Hello,
u can use the field dressings but no field dressing with itemindex 9. I think, not sure, its hardcodded to the parachute for bots.
Syringe, sofar i know bots use it with Itemindex 6.
Bots using medikits on itemindex 5. Same with the ammocan.
And yes, asking for permissions is an golden rule.
The deployment settings (equipment/itemindexes) are complete different as the standard vbf2.
Excample:
Give an officer kit (specops ai) an marksman rifle (id3/id4 deployed) = CTD
The specops use in vbf2 on itemindex 4 grenades.
But .....
if u cloned the M14 (deployed) with an itemindex of 7 (losing officer binocullar) it works.
If u create sp_kits, look at the vbf2 kits and their itemindexes.
Best is, clone some equipment with different itemindexes for your sp kits.

If I add field dressings to soldiers, they are going hold them instead of holding their weapons until they see enemy and start engaging it and at that point game crashes. So I fixed the crash by removing them from soldiers inventory and they started to hold their weapons. Field dressing is the only item, I had to remove from kits. Everything else is working since I added correct aitemplates for weapons.

I wonder how you got the "Lost Patrol" map working? When I try to load the map, it crashes at 14% without error message. And so does some many other EoD maps. I've got only these EoD maps working at this point, haven't tried to add them all yet: "Operation Irving", "Charlie Don't Surf", "Purple Haze", "Stream" and "Course of The River".Spyker2041 wrote:

Irving is rubbish for coop, bots always get stuck at the bridge because it was done poorly. Charlie Dont Surf is too open, Purple Haze is rubbish aesthetically imo, Stream is far too small and Course of the River is alright.

Also you'll notice I did a PR minimap for Lost Patrol as the EOD Topographical was inaccurate.
