You can do whatever you want if you don't care about being listed in the PRs game listing and what I'm been saying from the start of 65+ is as much as I respect the DEVs, in all honestly, I live in a free world where I believe I people's action speak for themselves. If a 100 player public event fills up then the people have spoken and it no longer matters what the orginal intent was. Same concept in going from Bf2 to PR, not sure why pr to 128 is any different. just put up the IP and let everyone connect manually, that could screen out a lot of morons too who aren't cappable of remembering an IP address for 3 seconds.

saying your not allowed is like listening to my 26 year old friends telling me their mom told them they can't go out to the pub. they may not want you to, but that doesn't mean your not allowed.

For 128 you need a lot more CPU Power than for 100 as strange as it may sound (server is simply not optimized for that many players). So that might have been a deciding factor. A 12 man squad of randoms is just too hard to control and it decreases teamwork/quality of gameplay imo.

You're not allowed to host 64+ because there's a server license meaning that devs can just dictate server admins what to do and blacklist a 64+ server. Also it would be unfair to the other servers if only one server runs 64+ as it would simply take the players from normal 64 servers.

Understandable but no valid reason to deny and limit the availabe capabilities. Those that have the necessary box requirements can run it

The argument and reasoning behind this very issue has pissed me off since day one of the 64+ server. Why do people want to claim everything for themselves, why do they have the slap their sticker on something and scream out "MINEMINEMINE". God damnit, really, why don't just every active community within PR contribute to a 200, or whatever reasonable number, player server and simply share altogether. Shared administration procedures, shared rules etc. No community clan needs the ability to run the server by themselves.

One server located on the East Coast or UK would cover all of the European and American playerbase and as such all active gaming groups within. Work together people.

I see no evidence to support the statement that 65+ player servers take away from other servers, it's a strong thesis but the facts aren't in. I believe it actually increases the number base and I wouldn't be suprised if that complete opposiste happened: bigger servers causes bigger playerbase or more servers. VS. current thesis of bigger servers causes no affect in playerbase and less server.

Guys, please remember that these thread is for the tests itself, not to discuss any management decisions.
The way how 100p tests are hold has been decided by the PR Management and we are currently happy how the tests work out.

I'm going to close that thread until the next sessions will be hold, feel free to drop me a PM if you want to discuss.
Consider it might take a while cause I'm on holiday.

Cheers
