Starting Project Reality
Hello! Just found this game after seeing it mentioned a few times in a live stream i was watching. The live stream was some DayZ gameplay and he recommended people to check out PR if you enjoyed DayZ. Im fairly new to that game but i love it so i decided to come and check out PR.
Its the very first i have heard of this MOD, watched a handful of videos so far but im already impressed. I have both ARMA 2 and BF2, was wondering which community is more active, more enjoyable to play etc.. Any help would be appreciated.
Anything i need to know before i jump in game?
Ben

community for BF2 is bigger but armas is getting bigger too. i reccomend installing both mods and then deciding on yourself which you like more.

Pro tips
Start off as infantry to learn the ropes about the game before trying to use heavy assets.
If you want to fly, practice on a local or better yet training server first.
Let your squad leader you're new and stick to him and follow his orders.
Most important - have fun

Re: Starting Project Reality
Welcome to the forums. Do what Noddy said, basically.
The manual that comes with the PR download contains most of what you need to know - although if you run into any problems, feel free to use this thread to ask for advice, the moderation team and forum community are happy to help. And don't listen to Wicca. Not when he sings, at least.
As for the BFBC2 thing: I assume you still have the installer file? Just run it again after having installed BF2 (and patched it to 1.5, if it isn't). If you have already deleted the installer file, it's probably easier to re-download the mod rather than manually moving all files to the correct folders, depending on your connection speed. Post in the technical advice section if you need help with this.

Re: Starting Project Reality
Are you running it through Steam? If yes; disable in-game options for Steam. Did you update Punkbuster? Have you got Dropbox running on your computer? Did you update any drivers for your graphics card lately?
