Larger servers are only good. IT allows for more specialized roles, and more infantry overall to actually do the dirty work on flags.

In 64 man servers, a two man team sapping bridges, or multiple trans pilots, or dedicated ground recon is counterproductive when there just isnt enough guys on flags.

Your argument has totally convinced me, they are just not doing enough for free to benefit my life.

As for the lack of change of game play, since 0.75 soooo much has changed in the game play mechanics that I don't have time to list it all, 3 years isn't a long time for a mod of this size considering the Devs have to go to work and have social lives on top of this. And considering the world is going to end on the 21st December i recommend reinstalling and making the most out of your last 3 months.

The problem is that noticeable changes since 0.9 took way way way to long.
All patches hotfixes etc. only was hotfixes no assets no realy new stuff. (except vietnam)
1.0 effectiv took over 1 year. The autoupdate function what could add maps to bridge over a long time period dont was implemented. Even not yet. And if something gets "old" and not every player is an 100% PR fanboy. This guys get bored and leave such game. So the dev?s need to fight every quarter for this people with for example maps, new tanks even when only visual changed, events, something like that etc.
So that the people think heay i am bored but cool a new map i need to check it out, oh i am bored i played it now 24/7, oh yeah a new weapon i need to shoot it, oh i am bored shooting this gun 24/7, oh cool a fucking good new looking tank its the same but its cool i need to drive it 24/7. And so on untile 1.0 is out.

If you want PR to release faster learn modding. It's quite simple.
PR 1.0 hasn't not been released yet because we don't want to and we like to keep you waiting. NO, its just NOT ready.
You have to understand that there is no game company behind, we don't make any money with it. All developers are people like you and me that work on it in their free time.
I can understand you guys frustration sometimes but we're talking about a pretty old engine. Developers leave but there aren't that many new ones anymore.

If you want new gamemodes, learn python.
If you want new vehicles, learn 3DsMax.
If you want new factions, help one of the community factions.

It's not that hard to get into the PR team and be able to help out. It's all about effort and contributing. You have to start somewhere, we all did apparently.
Even without new Contributors and Developers PR 1.0 will get released. You just have to be patient, we are really working hard on it these days.

So learn python, it's not hard once you know how to program in other languages...

Then what stops you from learning it?
ChallengerCC wrote:I cant 3dsmax but cinema4d, zbrush and PS
Again, how is that an argument?
ChallengerCC wrote:I want france as faction, i heard its finished.
And I guess you want France to fight other new factions as well, no?

Seriously, if you're going to complain about the mod needing new things and then use the argument that you have the skills and experience to learn those things easily but are unwilling to. Well...it doesn't look good on you, does it?

There are Community Factions out there needing more personnel. Even Syrian Uprising is recruiting members with no experience in order to give them a ground to learn from.

Gents, while I agree with the sentiment of 'do, don't just complain' This thread (as pretty pointless as it is) only gets more useless if you start turning this into a thread about a particular person's attitude.

The DEV team wants to be told where it's going wrong, it wants to be told where it's going right, it wants those discussions to happen concisely and clearly in the relevant threads. We're particularly aware of certain issues, and I think the number of public testing sessions that are coming up; Falklands, deviation and maps, show that we're really working very hard to address the issues.

Yes, we'd like to have more smaller updates as we've said in the past etc, we'd like many things but life doesn't work like that. We have all moved into different parts of our lives, getting married, going to university, persuing professional aspirations etc e.g. as of October 2nd, I'm gone from the PR scene again unless the 2nd year of nursing is inexplicably easier than the first lol.

I love to playing PR and i think the devs doing a great work. I enjoyed several hours of playing PR and its still my favourite game..and that complety free. I can understand that the 1.0 Updates takes it time, especially when things change in DEV Organisation and oersonal activitys.

But it gets quite bored with time. The same annoying bugs, Maps that were great but dont really work with only 64p and what lasts is that you play almost same maps most days. Some Maps were just to big for 64p and i love to see them with layers for more like 64p (hopefully!). It would further be really nice if there were more updates from time to time when developing process is so long. It hasnt to be a software updates but some news or something just to keep the people interested. A fix of minor problems that could be sperated would be also nice but iam not that in programming and i dont know how complicated and effective things work. And i also understand that more updates can cause more problems but i really think that will attract people and maybe you can think of that when an dev process takes that long. I dont really demand anything, you guys doing a great work and iam really looking forwad to see 1.0 released, so keep the work up.
