Winter Maps

Why there is no server which runs Winter Maps ?
I remember those winter maps as great addition to
PR and now there is no word of them on any server.
Are they have some bugs or something ?
Or simply people who run servers don't like them ?
Hope this injustice will be changed someday.

Suspect it's the same situation as with other standalone map packs / mods - kills a server when half the people don't have the maps installed.

Pony up the money to host your own server if it means that much to you.

Why they aren't included in regular PR ?

They were never intended as full-release maps. Although they offer a nice change, they generally don't meet the quality of PR maps because we lack a lot of the statics, sounds, textures, kits, etc. that would be necessary to do that. Thus they were offered as "holiday" maps... for fun. They won't be included as part of the core PR until we feel they meet our stringent requirements, but maybe this winter some servers will run them again.

Since this has already been discussed in many previous threads, this one will get locked. Feel free to do a search and read up on those discussions.
