Re: Anyone have a twitch,tv livestream
you can change the aspect code to 1920x1080 so the window takes up the full screen but still is in windowed mode.TomDackery wrote:See, thats my problem, I play fullscreen AAAAAlllll the time, and I'd rather not be paying money out the ******** for something that I might not end up doing on a regular basis...

Re: Anyone have a twitch,tv livestream
I have tried Xsplit (paid version) in windowed mode/in full screen mode. No difference in quality of the stream.
Tried running from 600kbps to 1500kbps. Still, poor quality. Very pixelated. It get's better with the higher bandwidth though....slightly.
Tried running 640 resolution (not as pixelated, but not crisp either).
Tried running at 1280 x 720 resolution (still pixelated)
And I get stutter and rubber banding. frustrating.
CPU is running at 100%
How do the console guys get such CLEAR streams without lag/rubber banding/stutter? I thought our PC's were more powerful than their consoles?
Oh, the people who PAY on twitch get more bandwidth to work with too.
I5 2500k (3.3ghz)
16gb RAM
XFX HD 6970 (single card/stock speed)
Tested GPU in BF3 today.
FPS 18 (Stock clock, Eyefinity mode, 5760 x 1080, 3 x 23" asus monitors, ULTRA settings) playable but not enjoyable. Stutter was annoying. No rubber banding.
FPS 40 (Overclocked GPU, Max settings, Eyefinity mode, 5760 x 1080, 3 x 23" monitors, ULTRA settings). Unfortunately, I get a white haze in-game, when I am inside buildings.
No rubber banding. No stutter
FPS 60 (stock clock, 1920 x 1080, LOW settings) No rubber banding. No stutter
GPU in PR
70FPS (stock clock, 1920 x 1080, all settings on high, 8x AA)
30FPS (stock clock, 5760 x 1080, all settings on high, 8x AA)
No rubber banding. No stutter. just pure unadulterated fun!!!!
Obiously, between casting and gaming, something can't handle the workload and is causing the rubber banding and stutter. All forums I've read says the I5 2500k should be plenty enough to cast and game at the same time. Yet it's running at 100%
I upgraded my internet to get 1.7mbps upload and 20mbps download (from 1up/10down). But no change in quality of the streams. Time Warner internet sucks!

Ok, well, my twitch stream name is Dackerynaut. I'll try streaming a bit to see how it works out today.
Turns out it lags my game to unplayable levels.

Re: Anyone have a twitch,tv livestream
You guys wanna be part of a live stream because I can broadcast pr every thursday & friday 7pm eastern time. I usually stream pr under BF3 section to get more viewers. For some reason, push to talk does't work on xsplit while playing pr fullscreen but it works fine on other games. 1911_Kev is me btw. Zyco187, Pesticide, cushing63, add me on xfire: marduke786 . Lets meet up.

What Streaming App do you use, XSplit wants money to broadcast games, the capture screen does not work for fullscreen only games such as PR. EDIT: windowed mode:... ugh wack.

Re: Anyone have a twitch,tv livestream
You can buy dxtory which is a video capturing software.
Now all you need to do is add dxstory as a camera source to xsplit and vola. Xsplit only streams and dxtory captures the video.
Well what is the diffrence ?
Xsplit is extremely heavy when its capturing the video, that feels as fps lag, shuttering , lagging image on viewers.
By using dxtory all that is gone, i cant even notice when my stream is on and when it is not.

Re: Anyone have a twitch,tv livestream
I'm using Avertv HD DVR with hdmi splitters and stream it through Xsplit. I pretty much cloned desktop to the capture card so it has super low CPU/GPU consumption. Now I can stream any games on high setting 60fps & up without any problems. Avertv HD DVR is ten times smoother than dxtory but it's more expensive. The monitor and video card must have hdmi port for this to work. Also, twitch needs 1mb upload speed and 8gb ddr3 for Xsplit.
FPS 20-30 (dxtory)
FPS 60-100 (AverMedia)
$199.99

Re: Anyone have a twitch,tv livestream
I have switched from Xsplit (paid version) to "OBS" freeware.
OBS is similar to Xsplit but there is more setup required.
Can capture game (not window) to stream.
Quality is MUCH better than Xsplit (I found)
There are youtube videos to learn how to setup OBS (so decent support)
